What about us gentile types? Does Acts 15 show us Bare Minimum - TopicsExpress

What about us gentile types? Does Acts 15 show us Bare Minimum or The Beginning First and foremost, the word gentile or in Hebrew, Goy means unbeliever. That makes the label Gentile Believer a contradiction in terms, unbelieving believer is just odd, in my humble opinion. I digress... Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and [from] fornication, and [from] things strangled, and [from] blood. Does this scripture depict the only things we are to be concerned with? So it would seem... Until we shed the light of context on the subject. The following verse says this... Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. Verse twenty lists the bare minimum for these new believers to be accepted into the synagogues to hear the words of Moses, which is Torah. As Paul Harvey (not to be confused with the Apostle Paul) would say... And NOW.... You know.... The rest of the story. Shalom and Blessings :-)
