What an OUTSTANDING program and tribute to the men of 617 Squadron! Oh that our own Air Force and national media would take pride in, and pay tribute to, the men and women who preserved our freedoms this way. Imagine how wonderful it would be for todays airmen to maintain and fly WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War aircraft as a tribute to those who served before them. It would be a great and special honor, Im sure! Unfortunately, we dont do as the Brits do. We rely on aircraft preserved in private hands to occasionally participate in commemorative events. I wish we would follow the example of the Brits. This heritage is important and must be preserved.
