What an amazing day Ultimate Air had! Being a Lennox dealer we were proud to do our first Heat U.P. Wisconsin installation. Heat U.P. Wisconsin helps a family in need, that needs a new furnace. Lennox donates 100 furnaces throughout Wisconsin & the U.P., Honeywell donates the thermostats and Lennox dealers (and families) donate their time. Today we were honored to help Pete & Darlene Rhoades of Algoma. Pete has stage 4 lung cancer, emphysema and Darlene has congestive heart failure. Their furnace was over 30 years old and they were using a wood burner that they said started out as a coal burner – guessing it was over 70 years old. Pete, having cancer, is no longer able to travel to the basement to continuously put wood in the burner to keep their house warm and unfortunately funds were not available for them to replace their 30+ year old furnace.. Their son heard the Heat UP Wisconsin information on WBDK radio and mentioned it to a neighbor, Janet Juedes, who in turn nominated Mr. & Mrs. Rhoades. All of Ultimate Airs team donated their time to be part of this event, as well as their families. We would like to send a sincere Thank You to Dons Bakery for starting our day with donuts, JT from The County Times for bringing us donuts, Stadium Diner for providing lunch, and Stodolas IGA for donating gift certificates for Mr. & Mrs. Rhoades. A HUGE Thank You also goes out to Door County Daily News, The County Times, Kewaunee County Star-News, & WFRV-TV Channel 5 (watch 10 p.m. news tonight to see the story) for helping us spread the word of Heat UP Wisconsin Also, thank you to our families for helping us help Mr. & Mrs. Rhoades!
