What an amazing experience it was to start a year with a concert today from PianoForte Foundation. It was one of those very rare occasions when you get into the zone and the world stops and the music takes you over and hypnotizes you. I rarely am able to let go of self and let the higher powers of music take over my spirit, yet controlling it and navigating with my ears and soul, not my hands and mind. But when this happens, it is truly a joyful and fascinating ride for me, and very challenging. Thank you to Thomas Zoells and Victor LeJeune for making a fantastic recording, and to WFMT radio and Dave Schwan who hosted it so beautifully. That Fazioli Piano kills me with its beauty, Im in love with every color and the amazing flexibility it allows me to create what I want. That piano is alive and its soul comes through with every note and speaks to me. Unbelievable. And, of course, I finally shared with the public my new project, my new Yana Show :) that will start live video broadcasts in February. The broadcast from today will be up on my website for a while so you can tune in whenever you desire and have time. Please share if you like it.
