What an amazing start to the RBR - Run Bus Routes (https://facebook/events/1466599180244359/) series and Sunday. 500D Bus Route from Silk Board to Hebbal (around 30 Kms) DONE. When i woke up in the morning, it was raining a bit and was skeptical whether we could run. But then the rain stopped and a few of us made our way to the start point. Myself, Gajendra, Ranaprathap and Nithya started around 5:25 am. As soon as we started it started drizzling again and we thought of stopping. Gajendra advised us to carry on since he knows the Bangalore weather well and it usually doesnt rain after 5 am . We continued, one flyover at a time. After some 4.5 kms Rana and Nithya took u-turn and ran back to the start point. Myself and Gajju continued. We were joined by Ramakrishna at Ecospace. Rama ran till KR Puram and ran another 5K on the return leg...a total of 17 Kms. Myself and Gajju continued and were pleasantly surprised to see 2 Protons in Rahul and Shuveshek near Kamanahalli. These 2 guys had completed 50K cycling and were cycling the route in hope to find us. We finished the run in 2:58, as per the plan. Had nice breakfast and headed back on the 500D volvo. A few stats: 1. The Route had around 9 Flyovers and 4 Underpasses. Looks like an ideal training route for AHM. 2. The run took us 2:58 and the return journey on Volvos bus took around 1 hour. Not to mention the steep ticket cost of Rs. 105 . The ticket mentioned the distance as 34 Kms...not sure but its around 30 Kms. 3. Traffic was relatively less and wasnt any hindrance of running alongside the road. Couldnt have asked for a better weather to run...its was heavenly. A few pics (taken by Rahul and Shuveshek) Now waiting for the 335E Route run...will keep u guys posted of the date and plan. #ProtonsRunning #RBR #WeRunBlore
