What an amazing two days. I am very happy to say that the OD special general meeting went well last night, and that the behaviour of our old boys was exemplary. There was none of the rabble-rabble-rabble that I had feared might take place. The reconciliatory tone of the meeting was extraordinary. I am very appreciative to the large amount of ODs that turned up for the meeting - thank you for the love of your school and your interest in its affairs. It all left me rather emotional. We can now once again focus on our main aim: to be the best old boys union in the world. I was also lucky enough to attend the Bishops Pops on Wednesday night. How a school with such fine academics and sports can also turn out such a mind-blowing, professional-level musical event defies belief. It is this scope of abilities and opportunities that makes Bishops the great school it is. I sung Psalm 150 with the boys and audience, and it left me with goosebumps. The rugby team, which has been in fine form this year, will be playing Paul Roos tomorrow at 11 30am. Beautiful running rugby in the company of your school friends under table mountain - not a bad way to spend your Saturday.
