What an awesome email, Kia Ora Whanau, This week has been AWESOME! Teaching a lot of great families, seeing a lot of miracles! Definitely seeing the Lords hand in our ministry this week. There have been moments where Ive felt his presence so near its incredible. We headed out straight after specialised training this week and put it to the test! Obedience indeed brings blessings! (D&C130) We were in a lesson with James( 13 yrs old, great supportive parents, from England, investigating for 1 month), when we asked him James, what would it mean to you to know that Joseph Smith truly was a Prophet of God, and that he DID restore the Priesthood authority to the earth? He replied Well, that would mean Id have to start paying a lot more attention- because if that is true, thats where God wants me to be. James accepted to be baptised March 30th. After a powerful gospel principles lesson on Sunday our investigator Debbie, who has been struggling to commit made it church and absolutely loved it! The class was centred on the gift of the spirit. After the class, we asked Debbie Is that something you want Debbie?, to have the Gift of the Holy Ghost with you all the time? She replies, Yes, wouldnt that be lovely. How do I get it? What do I have to do? . Ha! Well you know what came next.. Debbie accepts to learn the difference between her baptism and that done with Priesthood authority. After weeks of investigating the church Rebekah and her family came to church on Sunday, African family- the ward just embraced them , and invited them to mutual, scripture classes, sports activity...you name it! haha. Walking through the chapel doors and seeing our Sister.. Shirleen, sitting in the congregation again, after some time, was the biggest blessing. Heavenly Father is preparing the people, his hand is in everything we do. These miracles are blessings of his love and care for his children. Rescues, baptisms.. Its all so exciting! I know that as we apply the training weve been given, trust in the Lord, recognise his hand in the miracles we receive, and continue to be diligent and work hard the Lord will continue to pour out his blessings upon us and this Mission. I love being able to teach Children the Plan of Salvation, theyre so innocent! Teaching our African family of 6 children, Sister Magallanes and I knelt their in the humble home surround by these beautiful kids, teaching them of the plan that Heavenly Father has for them. They had never heard anything like it, so they were just absorbing it like crazy! When pointing at the visual of the pre-earth life we asked Where did we come from before we were born in mummies tummy? The youngest eagerly raises her hand, and says I know I know I know!!! We came from Brundie in Africa!! hahaha it was the cutest thing ever!! The whole family cracks up laughing, so confident, so innocent! The best! Your right Sophie! Your family DID come from Brundie, but before Brundie you came from a beautiful place called the Pre-Earth Life where we lived with God and Jesus. She was just amazed..
