What an extraordinary gift of opportunity is has been to be part of this pilgrimage to South Africa led by Mbali. Mother Africa always touches deeply into my being but this trip was exceptional. Mbali comes with and leads the group with unbroken, sacred relationship to life. The depth of her integrity has built and holds genuine relationship with the true indigenous people of this land. Her commitment to open the door and to invite us into the hearts of these First people, their truths and ways is a humbling and life changing experience. The journey is a continuous ritual of honouring and being honoured. Destinies are woven together, our common humanity and the one purpose that we all share is awakened and grounded as we hold place with the great shamans of this land, as we reverently enter into the powers of sacred sites, as we are met and penetrated by the potency of the elemental forces of the Kalahari desert, as we spend sacred time with the White Lions and as we are sung in so many ways by the people of this land. The magic was with us and we became the magic. We also shared in the joy of beholding and supporting each other in the deep personal transformation that was gifted to each and all of us.
