What an inspirational sharing, thank you Ron Cabading. Sam Berns, a 17 years old boy, who was suffering a rare diseases gave his speech 3 months before he left this earth. In his 12-minute speech, he REALLY gave us a valuable and inspirational lesson. You can feel how confident and optimal he was in the delivery. His philosophy for a happy life is worth for everyone to listen to: 1. Be OK with what you ultimately cant do, because there is so much you CAN do. Dont waste energy to feel bad about ourself, try to overcome it 2. Surround yourself with people you want to be around. People of high quality, share similar thoughts, what inside us, and be supportive 3. Keep moving forward, with open heart and try new things, doesnt need to be something big. He reminded us to show appreciation and love to our family, friends, mentors, anyone surround us, a truly significant impact of our life. My conclusion , life is filling with challenges and obstacles, think positive, make adjustment to make things possible. Sam, for sure, you did help change the world better, you did giving us a greatest contributions no matter in medical and sociology aspects, help people to have a better life in the future.
