What an opportunity!!! The Youth At Work programme is 12 weeks long and it is split into three parts: Part One – I Personal Development Personal Development, C.V. Building, Applications, Preparing for an Interview, Motivation & Confidence building, Team Work. All participants have the option to go on a tour of the hospital, this enables them to make a choice of the department they would like to do their placement in. Part Two – Pre-employment Equality & Diversity, Communicating with Customers, Understanding responsibilities of Working within a Team, Planning for a Placement, E-learning, Manual Handling and there is a visit from Careers NI. Part Three – Placement A 6 week placement within the Trust, all participants have an opportunity to apply for jobs within the Trust internal trawl. After the placement there is a possibility of banking hours and a chance of securing a permanent position. Payments: Based on 18 years + In addition to participants benefits: Part one is an additional £10 per week, Part two is £100 of gift vouchers which is paid on the completion of Pre-employment. Pare Three - While on placement all participants receive £30 per week plus travel expenses. 16 and 17 year who participate on the programme will receive EMA payments.
