What are our Demands for proposed Common Bankers protest from 03.11.2014 1. Immediate wage settlement 2. Salary: do not want to play with the percentage game. Minimum Salary of a clerk as Rs 28000/- and that of an officer as Rs. 50000/- (taken this figures roughly from the demand of 7th Central pay commission) 3. Introduction of bonus payment to all employees once a year to be calculated as 1 month salary + (1 month salary * business growth of overall Bank for central office employees/overall Zone for Zonal Office employees/overall Region for Regional Office Employee/Branch for Branch employees (Here Employees include officers, staff and sub staff) - (1 month salary * NPA growth of overall Bank for central office employees/overall Zone for Zonal Office employees/overall Region for Regional Office Employee/Branch for Branch employees (Here Employees include officers, staff and sub staff). Introduction of this kind of bonus will encourage the staff to work with more zeal towards growth of bank and reduction of NPA (which is growing leaps and bounds across the banking sector) 4. 5 day banking 5. Regulated working hour. 6. Setting up of grievances redressal machinery in all banks for resolution of grievances of employees towards their work. 7. Provision for payment of overtime to all non budgetary positions for working beyond regulated working hours. 8. Introduction of grade pay. 9. 10. Leaves at par with other Govt. department. For example festival leave applicable to other departments should be applicable to bankers as well 11. Introduction of other leaves like paternity leaves, etc available to other Govt. employees and private employees to bankers as well 12. Re introduction of Employee provident fund for all employees 13. Covering of all Employees (those who joined after 31.03.2010) under the old pension scheme 14. Equal treatment of all bank employees without discrimination. 15. Filling of vacant positions in all branch and offices that includes officers, staff, sub staff including guards in branch as well as ATM. 16. Agreements on restriction on opening of any new branch till all the vacant positions are not filled. 17. Management to provision and recruit staff at the beginning of every financial year for backfilling of vacant positions due to retirement or other reason and for additional branches to be opened during the year. 18. 100% reimbursement of hospitalization 19. Increase in HRA to the tune of 50% for metro, 40% for other areas as provided in other industry. 20. Expedite the process for providing/building adequate number of residential quarters for officers, staff, sub staff as applicable 21. Introduction of allowances for serving in rural area of lead districts. 22. Standardization of other allowances (like petrol, newspaper, etc)in all banks including SBI 23. Legislative protection to bankers’ right.
