What are some of the basic everyday life expenses? Food, rent/shelter, medicine, clothing, school costs. Some most basic ones, eh? How does a person provide for these? Our newcomer friends who claim refuge from inside Canada needs to wait at least 3/4 months before being allowed to work. This is the time when social assistance from the state is needed most. The federal governments budget bill C-43 might allow provinces to deny social assistance to refugee claimants. Our province does not provide driving license and Photo IDs to Refugee Claimants.
