What are the 5 biggest historical events that affected you on some - TopicsExpress

What are the 5 biggest historical events that affected you on some sort of personal level in your life time? It can be local, state, national, international. Please dont put down birth of children, marriages. And if you want put down your age, to give sort of a timeline. And actual things that you remember, not things you heard about when you were a little kid that didnt mean anything to you. I dont really know if anyone will reply back, but Im interested. Im 39. 1. Space Shuttle Challenger Blowing up. 1986 2. Two Towers getting knocked down. 2001 3. Hurricane Fredrick. I was in the middle of that. 1979 4. Columbine School Shooting. 1999 5. Desert Storm. 1990 In one way or another all those impacted me in some sort of way. So many things have went on in my 39 years, but those are the first five things that popped into my head. They were all Firsts for me. First encounter with Mother Natures wrath, first war, first real attack on American soil, and the first time I ever seen the results of how kids being bullied can damage a kids head. So bad they got sick of it, and wanted to take everyone out. I wasnt a bully in school..I mean I picked on a few kids a few times. But it wasnt a full time or even close to an everyday thing. Hell, I was bullied around a few times. Mostly, by my older brother :) and for the most part he was to busy being cool in school, rather then picking on me. Brian Schultz usually saved his right to push me around for home. But I was on the receiving end of being pushed around by his friends, and his enemies. So yeah, that was fun. Im not lamenting or crying about what happened in school. Its just part of the American Culture to be pushed around one way or another. Part of growing up. I think that bothered me the most, because I recall bullies in schools..and I knew of a few kids who wanted to kill the bullies. In a way I guess it was bound to happen, but we are kinda lucky it didnt happen at my school. But to be fair I guess anyone can say that about their schools.
