What are these pokes? This morning I see I received pokes and I have no idea what a poke is or if there is a reason to poke someone? Back in my days when I rode the subways in New York City if you poked someone they probably thought you were trying to pick their pockets. Back in the time when I lived in Miami, grandmas would poke you with their canes as they tried to maneuver around the Lincoln Road Mall. When I play poker, a player will sometimes poke me (under the table) to tip me off that he has a very big hand (its not legal, by the way). To poke a babe is different than when you poke a baby. Poke is also a salad in Hawaii and going for a poke with a babe in Hawaii isnt a bad idea. A poke can also be a wallet or a handbag, but you never want to be in a pokie. So, if youre a guy sending me a poke what are you trying to say? If you are a gal sending me a poke perhaps we should try the poke in Hawaii? And if the poke is just a Facebook scheme to generate page views and traffic, then we need the poke busters to stop it.
