What are you doing on Sunday? The St. John’s IceCaps will be hosting their second annual FanFest this Sunday, March 2, from 1-4 p.m. at Mile One Centre. Fans will have a chance to meet all the IceCaps players, who will be on-hand to sign autographs, pose for pictures and chat with fans. Returning once again is the raffle, which will feature authentic items like a signed Team Canada Orientation Camp jersey, a Brad Paisley/Eddie Pasquale signed print, a Teddy Purcell signed Tampa Bay Lightning jersey, and a Phoenix Coyotes team-signed stick. Also available are autographed Eric O’Dell, Carl Klingberg, and Jason King St. Patrick’s Day jerseys. Children can enjoy the bouncy castle, sumo wrestling, video-games, balloon artists and countless other activities like tattoos and inflatable basketball. Other attractions include a silent auction, a performance by the Bigwigs, one of St. John’s’ most energetic live cover bands, and of course, Buddy the Puffin. IceCaps Alley will also be open during the event with special deals and promotions. Our fans are the best in the league, and every year we look forward to this event which really honours their outstanding dedication to the team, said IceCaps CEO and President Danny Williams. We hope we get a great turn out again this year, as fans get the opportunity to meet our players and staff. I know the team also enjoys this event tremendously, as they have a chance to thank the fans - young and old alike - who support them all season long. Admission is free for season-ticket holders (and up to three guests), $5 for a single ticket and $10 for a family pass (up to four people). All tickets are available at the door. Season ticket holders are asked to bring their season ticket holder ID card or other proof of identification to enter. Proceeds raised will go to IceCaps Care and the Williams Family Foundation, which have provided more than $1 million in financial and in-kind donations to charitable organizations, province-wide, over the past three seasons
