What are you doing on your yoga mat? Thinking about what you have to do later? Comparing yourself to someone else in class? Critiquing yourself? If so you are actually practicing conflict as Yogi Desai says & no longer doing Yoga. Or are you actually present in your practice, breath, bodily sensations, life force energy flowing, observing the mind when it wanders then coming back to the moment (the practice of Pratahara). Then you are practicing yoga, when you are totally doing one thing at one time...that is yoga. You can even do it off the mat during daily life, walking, eating, even washing your dishes!
