What are your character strengths? How would your friends and family describe your positive points? How do you get the best out of communicating with health professionals? How have you dealt with any changes to your body caused by your cancer or its treatment? These are just some of the questions that cancer survivor participants on our ‘HOPE’ course have the opportunity to explore, enabling them to focus on building their confidence and self –esteem by positive thinking and generally finding ways of getting life back on track after cancer treatment. PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON YOU NEVER KNOW WHO MAY BE INTERESTED OR BENEFIT FROM IT……. Places are available on the next HOPE course starting on 11th November at St. Luke’s House in Corringham. This free to attend course lasts for six weeks with a two-and- a-half hour session each week. The self -management programme covers topics such as managing stress and emotional challenges, breathing, relaxation and physical activity, motivation and goal setting helping the participants to find ways of getting more out of life as well as meeting, sharing and learning together.
