What are your thoughts on Casinos for Massachusetts? We are all going to have an opportunity to vote on this issue. Did you know that the gambling industry pumped $11.4 million into lobbying efforts on Beacon Hill in the five years leading up to the 2011 vote to legalize Casinos? I consider lobbying efforts to effectively be legal bribes. Are you aware that the gambling industry`s business model relies on problem and pathological gamblers for the bulk of its revenue? New gambler will be created, they will be your friends and family, and many of them will become pathological gamblers. During the Pennsylvania Gaming Congress and Mid Atlantic Racing forum in 2011, state gambling operators confessed that their most lucrative players were local citizens losing money at the casino five times a week. How would you feel if one of these problem gamblers was a family member? Gambling is a form of entertainment for some, and a way of life for too many. Revenue from addicted and problem gamblers provide 70-80% of all casino revenues. We are all going to have an opportunity to vote on the Casino issue this November.
