What can I say about Three:33? I have had the pleasure of interacting with these guys on a number of occasions, whether at a show or in the local Steak and Shake, and, I can honestly say that they are, by far, the most professional and yet, really fun guys that I have run into in a LONG time, out on the road. Although I came to the party late, having met them while they were promoting their most recent release, The Ugly Side of True, I have spent countless hours, rumbling across the land in a big, dark bus, with that cd as my lone companion. They bring elements of Rock, Funk, and, yes, even a bit of ironic jazz(Hey-Trumpet, anyone?) to a terrific mix of stories, all laid down with nods to their influences, and, yet, they remain vital and original. In this age of self promoted, home grown recordings, there is a growing trend toward sketchy, less than great cds-Not the case with the boys in Three:33. Their cds sound like major label projects, and, their packaging and graphics are first rate. Do yourself a favor, and, get onboard! I did!
