What can I say that was the best days racing/dicing so far. Race one went ok started in 3rd but got a bad start and lost 2 places finished 5th over all but 2nd in my class GT2. I had a great dice in this race with Alan in the RT tried to go around the outside of him on turn 3 had a moment but managed to hold it together. Great clean racing between the two of us. When it came to the second race about an hour before the start there was the biggest rain shower I have ever see in mondello. When it came to race time I had to decide wets or slicks. Well I went for the wild card and stuck the slicks on because the track was starting to dry. Got a great start and moved up to 2nd. I was pulling away or at least holding the gap to the ginettas then with about 5 or 6 laps to go I think the rain started to come down and been on slicks everything went to pot I then spun and both ginettas got by I managed somehow on slicks when he was on wets catch up again with one of the ginettas piled on the pressure and got by and again pulled away but the wet track was just too much and again had another spin. Anyway ended the race in 5th over all but 1st in my class. Not a bad finish to the day a 1st and a 2nd in class. Looking forward to the next round in September now in the meantime need to improve the handling of the car. A big thanks you to all the lads in the garage that have worked on the car over the last few weeks but really without Adg and James helping me all weekend I would not of even been out there.
