What can we expect to be accomplished by Obama and Susan Rice’s - TopicsExpress

What can we expect to be accomplished by Obama and Susan Rice’s most consequential foreign trips of the Democrats White House presidency? The six-day swing through Europe and the Middle East will start with a two-day Nuclear Security Summit in the Netherlands, a biennial gathering of more than 50 world leaders that will be overshadowed by the crisis in Ukraine. Note: Obama and Rice at a Nuclear Security Summit ignore the ‘nuclear deal’ with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Instead want to talk about their ineptitude in dealing with Ukraine. Next move is that Leaders from the Group of Eight — minus Russia — will meet on the margins. Rice will orchestrate an effort for the new Group of 7 to condemn and isolate Russia for its actions on boarders with Ukraine. She says Russia – “egregious departure from that, and it is causing the countries and people of Europe and the international community and, of course, the United States to reassess what does it mean and what are the implications. The Group of 7 will be encourage to understand the need for a fundamental reassessment of the U.S.-Russian relationship, one that since the end of the Cold War has been moving toward fully integrating Russia politically and economically into the global community. Michelle Obama has met with Chinese President Xi Jinping to get China, 1 of the 7 to side with U.S. and have 2 of the 7 against Russia. If China goes with Russia, the U.S. foreign policy by Obama and Rice do not have a chance of succeeding and sanctions on Russia’s oil and gas will punish Europe more than Russia. What says Germany? Don’t shut Russia off, negotiate for a settlement and peace talks as Obama does with Iran.
