What criteria do you use to make a decision? I guess it depends on the scope of the choice.. I choose things all the time; difficult choices, easy choices, no brainer choices, but today Ive had to make a monumental choice that will, without a doubt, affect the rest of my life.. and Im not sure that Ive made the correct one. Why in hell is my life so difficult? Why does it so intricately involve the lives and happiness of others? Every single day I see memes (pronounced meems, which I didnt know until recently) that are filled with inspiration and advice about the nature of life, hope, love, self-respect, blah blah blah.. I know them by heart. I knew most of them by heart before Facebook and the proliferation of ornate clip art with text. Not a flipping one of them come to mind right now. I find myself in a position of possibly being damned if I do and damned if I dont. The ONLY way to know if Ive made the right choice is by looking back, someday, and either smiling or begging for forgiveness. Pain isnt just pain. I ran a saw over my hand, I split another hand bone in half, diagonally, Ive been burned extensively by boiling antifreeze.. I can take physical pain like nothing. THIS hurts, no matter what I do. 2015, youve got to do better than this.
