What did we learn this week, children? 1) Regarding the script circulating on the internet alluding to a Season 5 appearance of Stoneheart. Likely, its a hoax. After all, this is the internet. Most EVERYTHING is a hoax. 2) My apologies to Spaceballs fans for inferring that D&D are in the same class as Mel Brooks. What was I thinking? 3) Quote of the week: The most important thing is that people read... ~ Neil Gaiman 4) With all the strange cuts and changes, HBO still found it in their heart to cast more whores for Season 5. Solid writing and storytelling seems to be optional with D&D, but nubile young women who are willing to take their clothes off and moan for the camera? Apparently thats mandatory. Am I being naive in hopping that Tysha might be among these new cast members? 5) Only occasionally do I designate a Follower of The Week. This week it is K. Foster. (Despite the fact that she rejects my tongue-in-cheek theory that Shirtless Peter Dinklage is Azor Ahai...) 6) On Wednesday I began reading Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind. On Thursday evening, I abandoned my reading efforts, and instead selected a different book to read (The Tyrants Law by Daniel Abraham). Perhaps I was too hasty in kicking the Goodkind book to the curb, but I simply wasnt enjoying it. For me, time is even more valuable than money, so why slog through a book that isnt working for you? Admittedly, I can be somewhat of a picky reader. Case in point, earlier this past summer I also abandoned Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson after reading only 80 pages. If you liked either of these two books, worry not. I wont judge any of you. Literature is a very personal thing, and reading something is always better than reading nothing. Because as Benioff and Weiss have taught us, Nothing is just nothing... I wonder what books those clowns have in their library. I wish you all a happy Friday and a happy weekend! ~ WWG
