What did you learn this year, Shawn? Thanks for asking! I could barely make out what you were saying through the duct tape, though. And dont worry, Ill loosen the restraints once Im done. I learned: * not to date someone based on a single attractive feature * not to keep dating them despite some very unattractive features * the bond with my parents can only strengthen * the bond with my kids can hurt like hell * not to give up on someone, even after they make a big mistake * not to keep bothering with the people who are neither clever nor kind * some people will never fade from my life * life is short and the people who make it beautiful can be taken from it before you even know * life is hard and people need help, so help them if you can * a day of hard, demanding work can actually make me feel really great
