What do human rights mean to you? Yesterday, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, H.E. Basiru Mahoney went before the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva for an examination of the country’s human rights record. This process, called the Universal Periodic Review, is mandatory for all U.N. member states. The Gambia is one of 14 states to be reviewed by the UPR Working Group during this session taking place from 27 October to 7 November.
