What do the Apple maggot, Asian Citrus Psyllid, Glassy-winged sharpshooter, Gypsy moth, Japanese beetle, Mediterranean fruit fly, Mexican fruit fly, Oriental fruit fly, Red imported fire ant, and the White garden snail all have in common? They are exotic pests in California. The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) uses aerial and ground applications of pesticides to eradicate infestations of exotic pests in California.
