What do you guys think? My standpoint is rather harsh on reality and human conceptualization. lol Julio X. Palomino 7/02/14 English 313 Position Paper #1 Words: 525 Friedrich Nietzsche and “On Truth and Lying in a Non-Moral Sense” Friedrich Nietzsche ideals on the appearances of reality are very brilliant, and it is a great standpoint on how society dehumanizes everything on the basis of metaphorical attributes. Human cognition is an example of how inventive ideals create a foundation for scholars of modernization. Everything in life is categorized as if factual, when in reality we could never truly understand the logistics and the true composition of reality. Living in a world designed for order and for standardization has left us all blind to the real truth: everything in life is falsely understood. “The liar uses the valid tokens of designation—words—to make the unreal appear to be real;” (Parker 91) What if all things in reality that we have studied and categorized—that may seem so real to us—are based on pure lies? Perhaps “the truth” humans are so eager to conceptualize can only be understood by their perspective, worldly truth is unachievable because nobody on Earth can all agree upon one generalized idea of reality. Nietzsche’s argument may seem inconclusive to many, but his validity in his piece, “On Truth and Lying in a Non-Moral Sense,” extravagantly summarizes human nature. There is evidence everywhere that human analyzation is faulty, and theories are ever-changing, since this is true, complete knowledge cannot be ascertained. Opinions vary on conceptualization, and theorists may have gotten humanity on a somewhat good path, their inconclusive studies display the invalidity of human framework. Since this may be true, living a life based on founded lies is ignorance at best, and humanity—as a whole—would be better off accepting the fact that exponentialism is out of hand, at least for a very long time. “Every concept comes into being by making equivalent that which is non-equivalent. Just as it is certain that no leaf is ever exactly the same as any other leaf, it is equally certain that the concept, “leaf” is formed by dropping these individual differences arbitrarily, by forgetting those features which differentiate one thing from another, so that the concept then gives rise to the notion that something other than leaves exists in nature, something which would be “leaf” a primal form, say, from which all leaves were woven, drawn, delineated, dyed, curled, painted—but by a clumsy pair of hands, so that no single example turned out to be a faithful, correct, and reliable copy of the primal form.” (Parker 92) There is nothing more lucrative than the acceptance of human nature; it is the only pathway to potentiality. Creationism is another redundant concept that needs to go away, although spirituality and religion have stuck to us like leeches, the future of the human race relies on evolution and the eradication of inaccurate theologies. The demand for truth will guide us to a rightful future; however, as long as ideologies entertain metaphorical and anthropomorphic theories, potentiality will be left in ruin. Human potential relies on factual knowledge based on acceptance, unison, and real truth: complete conceptualization that can only be attained by evolution.
