What do you have to do to be condemned to Hell ? To answer this question involve some suggestion that I in some way could know the inner workings of a hypothetical celestial super-being, and this I cannot do. What I can say with certainty however is that I cannot imagine any life, even one spent devoted entirely to inflicting pain and death on others, that could warrant eternal punishment. It would appear from scripture that entry into hell is quite commonplace; some Christian sects even putting those who go to heaven in the scant hundreds of thousands out of the billions that will have lived. Consigning thousands of millions to infinite suffering has to rank as the most immoral concept yet conceived in the history of humanity. Yet people seem content to worship a being who threatens exactly this; something so evil it transcends all the evils of his proposed victims - combined! The only being I could consider even coming close to meriting such treatment would be the originator of it himself; yet even I would consider such a punishment unjust for the reasons previously stated. No finite crime can justify an infinite punishment.
