What do you really need to be happy? A roof and, some well insulated walls to keep you from the weather help. Food on the table come meal time? Thats a plus. Clothing to keep you warm ? Yes thats good too. Friends and family? Now we are getting somewhere. You can have all the so called basic needs of life met and exceeded and, still be miserable. I have shared a meal of stone soup with folks living in a tent on a sand bar in Washington . They were truly happy. Why if they were so poor? They had each other. They did the best they could each day and hoped for an improvement in the future. They did what needed to be done and , they lived each day. They loved each day. They celebrated each day. Happy isnt having what you want. To use the old cliche , it is wanting what you have. I am not what you could call well off. I am relatively happy though. I have three great daughters. Two super cute granddaughters. I have Mum. At least for a while yet. Yes. I guess that I will say that I do OK.
