What do you think about FDI in online retail??? Rohan Bhargava (Co-Founder @ cashkaro) says, Allowing FDI in Indian ecommerce will enable large global brands like Walmart, Macy’s, Tesco, Amazon to start selling in India vs having a marketplace model only. More competition will give greater choice to the end consumer & better prices too. Shopping at big global brands might also instil greater confidence in online shopping and encourage more first time shoppers to also come online. These factors overall provide the right impetus for the ecommerce industry to grow more which in the long run benefits everyone. Currently there are only a few big players, which if unchecked can lead to monopolies which are not good for the consumer
