What do you think about homework? As a class teacher I never really set homework, as I didnt see the educational benefit. The one thing that I did want my students to do each night was to read. As a specialist teacher working one-on-one with students that are struggling with reading and writing, I set home activities. I ask that the child does 20min a night and the activities are very targeted to use the strategies we use in a session....so nothing new. Thus allowing for rehearsal and practice of learned content.
