What do you think it means that our far-right government wants to remove the only independent monitor of anti-terror laws, which allow citizens to be held for no reason, or forced to do, or not do, anything that government decides without any form of trial? When a government of the people undertakes action in order to cause fear in those people, then they are no longer of the people. Our government does not represent us. This means they are no longer our government. They are the political arm of international corporate interests, who terrorise us into submission in order to maximise our productivity. Anti-terror laws grant the government the power to treat citizens worse than enemies in war-time. When the oversight of those laws removed, and we are no longer able to understand their full implications or reach, what does that mean?
