What do you think of this? My personal belief is that tuition and books should be free and w/o student loans. The money dished out in student loans should directly go to the schools for support. This would mean students would be attending for the right reason -- to learn something; not to collect student loans or avoid getting a job. (Or staying in school too long to avoid having to start paying them back.) Students would have to live at home, or take part-time jobs, etc. to cover their personal living expenses -- which would teach the responsibility/grit a person needs to learn.
