What does AFWM recommend for the Thursday events???? We recommend that you arrive to the base VERY early on Thursday. How early? Before 6:30am early! Why? We want you to get a great seat at the first briefing at the BMT Reception Center at 7am. (This pic is from the 7am briefing....it gets crowded!!) Only one person from your group needs to attend as they can relay all the info back to you. Everyone in your group will still need to arrive early with you because it gets super crowded and you have to walk to all the events and you dont want to be late. Just trust me on this. All the Thursday events now happen at the new BMT Reception Center so we dont want yall to miss a thing!! As I mentioned above, there is quite a bit of walking even if you bring a car. If you have someone that might need assistance we have wheelchair info on our website here: afwm.org/travel/wheelchair-info/ We know its early but the Airmans Run starts shortly after and youll want to be on base anyway because it will be crowded with all the other families coming.
