While individually suffering may not be the direct result of sin; corporately and collectively, all suffering came about due to the fall in Genesis 3. Christians are not exempt from suffering in this present world; rather they are promised suffering. God is sovereign in power and could heal all diseases; so if He does not heal it is not because He is limited in power. God is all-good, so if He does not heal it is not a reflection of an uncaring or unloving God. God is all-wise, so if he does not heal it is not because He doesn’t know our need or has made some mistake. If God allows us to suffer, He must have a Divine purpose which brings him glory and will eternally work for our good as well.
