What does everyone recommend for a fever? Let it run its course or medicate to keep it down? In the past, Ive typically given Tylenol and/or Ibuprofen, but continue to hear more and more about letting the fever go to fight off infection. I did good today at not medicating - until nap time. Zanes fever was 103.4 and I was afraid it would continue to increase as he slept. He tends to run a fever for 4 to 5 days, so Im hoping by letting the fever run its course, he will be on the mend a little quicker?!?
