What does it mean to be a Christian? Its all starts by being: Born Again! Then you have a living and personal relationship with Jesus Christ! Because His spirit now is living in your heart so He communicates with you by His spirit. Its a relationship with Jesus! Do you have a relationship with Jesus? It will be as obvious as having a relationship with your spouse, if you do. Examine yourself if your in the faith! Being a Christian is not about escaping hell. Although it includes that! I dont serve Jesus Christ to escape hell. But because I love Him! How can you not love someone who gave His lifes blood so you can be saved? You must have a relationship with Jesus in order to be a Christian! When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden they broke their relationship with God! All the things some people do to justify their false professing like: singing gospel songs, reading the bible a 1/2 hr a day, praying for a short or long time, devotions with your children. Does not make you a Christian! Even though those things are included in being a Christian. We cannot reduce our relationship with Christ to an amount of thing we do! But when you have a relationship with Jesus Christ you will see the importance of doing those things! The bible becomes alive once our relationship begins with Jesus. A true Christian lives by the bible! Just to start doing the right thing is not good enough! You must be Born Again! And begin a relationship with Christ! Otherwise trying to be a Christian becomes nothing but a drudgery! Its all about enjoying Jesus, if you dont enjoy Him now, you wouldnt enjoy Him in heaven! Jesus gave us all kinds of reasons to love Him, and not one reason to not love Him! So why wouldnt people put their trust in Him? I dont know! The only answer I can come up with is that they love their sin more than Jesus! Sin separates from Jesus!
