What evidence do you have of your faith? Is there enough evidence - TopicsExpress

What evidence do you have of your faith? Is there enough evidence in your life that you would be found guilty of being a true believer of Jehovah God? One of the most simplest proofs can be found in your speech. What we say with our mouths speaks a lot regarding the condition of our hearts. What we say with our mouths can either bind us up or break us free from what ever we may be suffering with. In light of our faith; its time we begin speaking our faith. Though what you may be seeing in front of you is reality, or what you feel in your body is actual, or the mental fatigue of your mind is causing you misery; all of it may be a real problem. However, you have to factor in your faith in the name of the LORD before coming to a conclusion. Take David for instance. He was facing a giant of a problem. The bible describes Goliath very vividly. A mighty warrior he must have been. He was the Philistine Champion, a veteran, a man of war, a General. Not only was his physical stature very impressive, but he carried with him the weapontry of past opponents whom he had defeated. Certainly, this was a psychological warfare tactic used for intimidation purposes. Anyone would have been floored just by the initial sight of such a man. The bible also speaks of an armor bearerer carrying the shield of Goliath(1 Sam.17:7). There are three different words in the Hebrew for the word shield. The word shield here in Hebrew speaks of a very large shield. Some believe it to possibly be 8ft tall and almost 4ft wide. Surely this was sizable enough to provide ample protection as well as be used as an offensive weapon. Now, here is where it becomes even more interesting. In verse 20 David comes on the scene. Though David was only a teenager, with no experience as a warrior, he was untrained, ill prepared militarily, and unquestionably physically outmatched; he knew who he was and whose he was. The evidence of Davids total confidence and trust, his faith in Jehovah God comes blarring through his speech. His level of faith is so rich in the LORD that he begins to call those things into existence that are not as though they are. Also, he begins to call those things that are as though they are not. In verse 45, although David could clearly see the size of the Giant and the size of his shield, David refuses to address the shield as it actually is. He purposefull describes it using another Hebrew word that depicts it as very small. In essence, David was letting Goliath know that nothing will be able to protect him from the LORD of Hosts; there will be no place he could hide. Today would mark his day of defeat. That he could be sure of. What Giant are you facing today? What giant seems to be taunting you. Notice, in the story how the giant continually spoke words of defeat to the Israelite army. Also notice how the Israelite army never spoke back. When they did, it was among themselves that they would speak back those same words of defeat. Church stop repeating, remembering, rehearsing, and reciting what the giant in your life, your marriage, your family, on your job, etc may be speaking. Stop listening. Stop letting it be a one-way conversation. Speak your faith in Jesus Christ. You have to. My dear brother/ sister, our Lord Jesus Christ has already given you the key to your deliverance, your victory. Its in your mouth, and now you must use it.
