What goes on at HH each THIRD THURSDAY of the month . . . ? THE BACKLOT is designed as a mixer for anyone interested in learning how to make movies or being part of the growing film industry in the Southeast. At The Backlot, folks connect and form creative partnerships which can lead to roles in both cast & crew of a future film project. Typical events at THE BACKLOT include casting calls for films and shorts / web series, presentations by working professionals in all areas of film craft, and screenings of completed projects as well as works-in-progress. Admission is free and food is provided in the form of a potluck provided by the many filmmakers attending. Our next Backlot will be on Monday, October 20th and will feature a HALLOWEEN MAKEUP WORKSHOP by Professional Makeup Artist / Esthetician APRYL KELLI HUGHES; a CASTING CALL by the CHATTANOOGA COMEDY CARTEL; and (just in time for the holidays . . . ) our LATEST ADDITION -- the FALL CINEMA SWAP & SHOP!
