What good is ministry if you neglect your own kids to tell other people how to raise theirs (preaching)? Far too often I have seen preachers neglect their first ministry----the home. The Bible already gave some qualities regarding the desire to be a public minister. The candidate “must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?),…” (1 Timothy 3:4-5). The first advice should be a good example.
