What great timing to celebrate a successful and busy adoption - TopicsExpress

What great timing to celebrate a successful and busy adoption clinic and fundraising day. These profiles are too great not to share, and not only because we –cough- are mentioned as a part of wonderful Helen/e’s success story. Enjoy them, but also remember that *many* of the dogs that come into rescue and shelters have boring ordinary stories and are victims of human circumstance (how many more times must we emphasize the need for spaying and neutering?), not because of bad or overwhelmingly challenging behavior. Just as we tell people that tone is everything and to keep things happy and encouraging when training your fur babies, do it also when telling people about your rescued shelter dog. There’s no need to be apologetic or embarrassed. Be happy, proud, and loud when you say, “I have a rescue shelter dog!”
