What happened in 6th grade GT today? Higher Order Thinking with Picture Notes...The students were learned about the elements of a good story! Students read the short story Boar Out There and after discussing it, instead of having the students draw and fill in a plain ol’ plot mountain, the teacher had them create a picture or scene from the story and place the elements of the plot on it. They had to label which element it was and place the part of the story that showed that element, even the denouement. The students then shared their picture and elements with their table group. Way to go GT students and Mrs. Lubojacky! See what this looked like on the next post.
