What happened to chivalry? I have a resident who has been married - TopicsExpress

What happened to chivalry? I have a resident who has been married for 60+ years.... And her husband still comes EVERY MORNING AND EVERY NIGHT. He still calls her beautiful, still holds her hand. He pushes her around the facility and tells her about his days...even though she cant speak a word to respond. He brushes her hair out of her face and still has that look of absolute adoration and love in his eyes. I asked him what the secrete to a relationship like theres was and he just smiled at me and said, love is the strongest thing in the world. You can use it to heal or you can use it to destroy....its up to you. Once you embrace the right choice... Love will grow and grow under all circumstances. Now, that is coming from a generation far more wise than ours. CHIVALRY doesnt have to die.... All it takes is effort and after that it comes naturally. So what are we waiting for?
