What happens in the exchange process - from death (on this planet) to life (spiritual): Conversations take place between the sick/dying individual and Father God. I have witnessed this as a first hand care provider. My dad told me of the conversations he had with God during his illness (he was still in his right mind) - and a sister in the Lord laid hands on mama and told me she was having conversations with God. Though she could not tell me of them, it did not mean she was not having them - for I witnessed it. A few days prior to her death, when she could no longer speak anything but mumbles....she became restless in her bed, so I got up and went over and wrapped my arms around her to comfort her. Then, as clearly as anyone could speak, she said, "I HEAR you" (emphasis on HEAR). I asked her who she was talking to, but she never responded. The next day she raised her left arm up (was unable to get her right arm up due to her position) and began waving toward Heaven as though waving hello to someone. Many times her eyes roamed around the ceiling in the room as though she were watching happenings in the Heavens. I believe her spiritual eyes were opened, as Stephen’s were in the book of Acts (7:55,56). It is still very difficult to live without grandma. My heart still aches, to the point that I don’t want to get out of bed sometimes – then I have more compassion for the elderly, homeless, and those without family. My hope is in God, for a new world – not of this world – where Christ is King and sickness and death are abolished.
