What happens when 23 people that live all around the country - some dear friends and some new faces - come together in a sunny, hot, dusty country to hold 5 days of medical clinics in two remote communities - one of which you can only access by either hiking or riding a mule for 2 hours up into the mountains; the other located by a small river that you need to weave through a canal, walk across a dam and trudge up a rocky hill to get to?? The lives of 1386 people (yes you read that number correctly) are made better. What happens when the 18 members of your joint surgical team perform over 50 surgeries in their hospital?
