What hurts a lot of political candidates is approaching issues from specifically a value-oriented perspective. Approaching issues from an economic standpoint is a much different situation. The reasoning behind it is simple and it makes a lot of sense. The reasoning in this country is I am not God and who am I to decide how someone else should be living their lives and why would I want to diminish opportunity or creativity? We want to resolve negative symptoms that are created within our social structure and bolster the positive aspects reflected by all of the different cultures that make up our melting pot! That way, we can work on the issues that really matter the most. Arguments over petty little things are a trifle at best. What I plan on doing is to turn all of the negatives I see into positives and there are lots of people who really need to have that happen in their own lives. They need that to happen in their own lives in order to be able to break out of the negative cycles that we often times end up having to face in our lives.
