What if. What if the Big Bang was in actuality a Big Rift. What if our present conditions (Note the absence here of a point) originated from a tear in the fabric of space and time itself? If it helps you, perhaps the tear is inter-dimensional, but it does not need to be. One of innumerable analogies might be the breaching of a dike along the Mississippi River. What is on both sides of the dike are not dis-similar. We tend to think of the river as water, but by the time that dike is breached, it is a complex mixture of muds, chemicals, flotsams, etc. As the dike is breached, some times on a large scale, sections tend to give way. Complex eddies, speeds, and flows develop. Are our galaxies eddies from a Great Rift? Could Space itself not be so dis-similar from water as an emulsifying and supporting medium? Are we part of a thousand year flood from the macro-universe? Be aware, we as humans are limited by our limited sensory perceptions and our limited abilities to think. Just because we start and stop, are born, live, and die, does not define the Universe as the same. One thing, as certain as human life and death itself, all or nearly all that we presently believe, is DEAD WRONG!
