What if the People of Israel, and the People of Palestine stood up and marched for peace, if everyone took to the streets, and they marched out and met each other to set aside their rockets, their ideologies, and to recognize their mutual humanity? What if we accepted that though the rockets can kill anyone, they dont come from everyone, and that those people who are using them are using them as a shield, that they are hiding behind them? What if we left differences in the rubble and rebuilt our cities on humility and forgiveness, on love and grace? Maybe then we could be at peace, not with our enemies but with ourselves, and we would not be defending our present but protecting our future.
