What if the movement to end violence of girls and women actually believed Black lives mattered? How would leadership, programs, funding, and policies shift if we had racial justice? For the past two years, our co-founder Scheherazade Tillet has been part of program of leaders in the movement to end gender-based violence called Move to End Violence. Part of our vision, was to examine and change the role of structural racism has played in the feminist movement. At this time, we collectively decided to share our voices, our experiences, and ourselves and stand with the chorus of millions around the world and state that Black Lives Matter now and forever more.
