What if we stopped excusing behaviour based on “results“? Being an asshole doesn‘t “get things done“ - there are a tonne of ways to motivate people to acheive a goal, and why should we allow any leader, manager, boss, owner to opt for the one that makes the rest of us feel like crap? “Tough Love“ rarely comes from someone who actually cares for your wellbeing, let alone actually loves you. Seriouly. If you need at add the phrase “tough love“ maybe you need to qquestion if you are doing something in order to help the person, or are you really looking to your own self-comfort?
